It was so nice seeing Kenton Eco Estate Residents take the time to support the Chipembere Rhino Foundation Golf day which was recently held at the Royal Port Alfred Golf Club. The Chipembere Rhino Foundation is a local NPO which was established after Rhino were poached at the Amakala Game Reserve near Grahamstown.

Dr. William Fowlds a world renown Veterinarian and Rhino conservationist who is currently treating the poached Rhino at Kariega Game Reserve in Kenton on Sea, expressed his gratitude on behalf of the Chipembere Rhino Foundation and gave an emotional talk about the challenges facing the species and their efforts to combat the scourge of poaching. He indicated that 2014 is the tipping point for the Rhino. This basically means that the numbers of Rhino being killed by poaching will far exceed the numbers of Rhino being born.
